Questions & Answers
These policies may sound strict but we include them to ensure that our dogs are in safe environments and receiving the care and love they deserve with responsible, honest families. Our main concern is to secure our puppies the best forever homes as we possibly can... We do our best to work with each family as much as we can and we have put these policies in place to help our relationships run smoothly.
Q: How do I place a hold on a puppy?
A: For upcoming litters...
If we do not have pups available and you are interested, please let us know we would be more than happy to place you on the notify list! Once it is time to pick your baby we will notify you. Deposits are required to hold your place/ color/puppy. We also accept early payment once all the necessary forms have been filled out. Our holding fee agreement states that you understand backing out for any reason will forfeit the holding fee, and that you understand anything can happen to said puppy between birth and 8 weeks. If something is to happen you can choose another puppy or money back. |
A: For a litter that was just born..
When the litter is born we begin accepting deposits, this holds your place in line. Once the puppies are 2-5 weeks old we start the picking process, you will be kept updated on the color/sex combos you chose. Here is an example of the process. You want a Harl male, we have five, you were the third person to make your deposit, you will have three babies to choose from. If you were the fifth to make your deposit then you will get the last harl male available. Please remember that this method is a common practice among breeders and that you can choose to wait until the people that have deposits have made their pick. However we will not hold any color/sex slots for people without a deposit. |
* Please note everyone is required to completely fill out and send in an applications form.
Q: What if I change my mind?
A: For wanting a different puppy..
If you happen to want a different pup, depending on how early you change your mind, we MAY allow you to transfer the holding fee to another puppy, however this is extremely rare. Please keep in mind our puppies generally leave at 8-9 weeks of age. We do our very best to work with everyone! |
A: For not wanting a pup at all..
If you decide you do not want your puppy at all you forfeit your holding fee as it is nonrefundable. Please also keep in mind if you are paying payments or have completed payments and you change your mind (even before you take the puppy home) we will only refund 80% of the purchase price. Not including the holding fee. This is to cover the time and care until we can find the puppy its forever home. PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE COMPLETELY COMMITTED TO YOUR PUPPY!!! |
Q: Do you do payments?
A: Yes, we do allow you to make payments. Payments must be completed before the pup can go home, unless agreed to do extended plan. There are also companies that can help you like a credit card. Payments can be made through PayPal * with a bank, debit, or credit card* in the mail or in person. Please keep in mind if you are going to make payments through PayPal we ask you to add the 3% to the payment to cover charges. We do not ask you to add the 3% to the holding fee, we pay that one for you!
The extended plan must be paid in full by 1 year. We do charge interest and will reclaim the dog if payments are not made. The dog will remain Y.C.C property until paid. Sorry
